All trainings are tailored to meet your needs. Topics include:

• Hormone Prescribing and Lab Monitoring

• Gender Affirmation Surgery: Options, Techniques, Insurance Navigation, Pre-Op Preparation and Post-op Complications

• How to Write a Strong Letter of Support for Surgery

• How to Appeal Insurance Denials

Trainings range from 30 minutes to three hours long depending on content. Topics can be combined into longer presentations depending on need and audience baseline knowledge.

Technical assistance

JM will meet your organization where you are at. With an intensive needs assessment, JM will work with you and your organization to set attainable goals and strategize to create a plan to implement systemic change for sustainable integration of transgender health into your practice. Technical Assistance usually includes a needs assessment, walk-throughs, didactic trainings, goal setting, strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and accountability follow-up to create a truly trans and gender inclusive clinic environment.

This process could include reviewing and revising materials and protocols to implement trans-inclusive policies and procedures, intake forms, health education materials, bathrooms, branding, electronic health record work-arounds, hormone therapy informed consent forms, surgery readiness assessment and referral training and resources, SO/GI data collection implementation, bed-side manner, and more! This is a multiple session process, and though it is an investment, it would truly integrate trans care into your organization.
